We will send u to different part of china to teach spoken English. We will provide you the teaching material, and free training. U.S. Center for Child Development and Resiliency Summer Intern - Save the Children

Summary
Save the Children’s U.S. Center for Child Development and Resiliency is seeking an intern to work closely with Center Staff in knowledge management, social media, designing features for internal and external SharePoint sites, and assisting with development of online courses for our Training Hub using Articulate and Learning Management System Cornerstone
Responsibilities
  • Work with U.S. Center staff and Communications Team to maintain current and relevant information for U.S. Center
  • Assist in management of social media (Twitter, YouTube)
  • Identify, develop and load program content to intranet, extranet and public Resource Library
  • Support training national scheduling, development and testing
 
Requirements
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or student in Education, Communications or related social sciences
  • Some familiarity with our areas of work (child development, literacy, health and emergency preparedness and response)
  • Experience or interest in monitoring current events for information-sharing with other professionals
  • Experience or interest in developing and delivering training
  • Understanding of digital media and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be enrolled in a relevant undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate academic program
  • Must be able to receive credit from their college or institution. (A minimum requirement is a letter from a professor supporting the candidate. This is only needed when an internship is offered.)

Education in Emergencies Summer Intern - Save the Children

Summary
Under guidance of the Education in Emergencies(EiE) Senior Specialist, the intern will assist in drafting or refining key technical resources for Save the Children U.S. EiE work, specifically focusing on Early Child Development(ECD)  in Emergencies Framework and points of intersection with other sectors, specifically nutrition, child protection, and livelihoods.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of key components of the ECD in Emergencies Framework and Toolkit as identified by the EiE Senior Specialist and the ECD Senior Specialist.  This will include collaborating on guidance for Country Offices in implementing HEART(Healing through Art), Essential Package, and Pre-School programs in preparedness, response, and transition phases in emergency programming. 
  • Conduct desk review of current and previous (1-2 years) Save the Children emergency response programs to map EiE response and previous collaboration and missed opportunities for collaboration with other sectors.
  • Conduct semi-structured interviews (with guidance and support from the EiE Senior Specialist) with other sector focal points to elaborate on desk review findings.
  • Draft recommendations synthesizing key findings
Requirements
  • In a MA program in Education, Sociology or other relevant field, preferably having completed at least one semester
  • Proven research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be creative in gathering information from a variety of sources. 
  • Ability to conceptualize the application of guidance and best practice with education programs.
  • Experience in working with vulnerable or under-served communities.
  • Experience or interest in education in emergencies
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

J-1 Visa Intern Program

Internship programs are designed to allow foreign college and university students or recent graduates to come to the United States to gain exposure to U.S. culture and to receive hands-on experience in U.S. business practices in their chosen occupational field.

Interns must be foreign nationals:
  • Who are currently enrolled in and pursuing studies at a foreign degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution outside the United States; or
  • Who have graduated from such an institution no more than 12 months prior to their exchange visitor program start date.
Benefits
Practical Experience: The program bridges the gap between formal education and practical work experience.
 
Limitations/Exceptions for Intern work environment
Interns cannot work in unskilled or casual labor positions, in positions that require or involve childcare or elder care or in any kind of position that involves medical patient care or contact. Nor can interns work in positions that require more than 20 percent clerical or office support work.

  • Construction and Building Trades;
  • Education, Social Sciences, Library Science, Counseling and Social Services;
  • Health Related Occupations;

  • The Sciences, Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics and Industrial Occupations.
