Volunteer: Ghana ER Program


Injury accounts for three of the top five causes of death in Low– and Middle– Income Countries and is growing as a worldwide cause of morbidity and mortality. The WHO predicts that Road Traffic Injuries will be the 2nd leading cause of years of life lost for the world’s population by 2020. Ghana, a stable, democratic country in West Africa has long recognized the need to improve emergency care, where previous research has demonstrated that half of all fatally injured patients admitted to a Ghanaian hospital die within 24 hours of admittance. 

Volunteer: Nursing Education Guest Professor, Project HOPE Wuhan Office, China


Recruiting qualified Master’s Degree or PhD-level Nurses to teach undergraduate nursing students in the International BSN Nursing program at the Wuhan University HOPE School of Nursing 

Volunteer: HAS, Physician Specialists


Background: Project HOPE has been working in communities throughout the Americas since 1962, when the SS HOPE first docked in Peru in 1970. HOPE's long-term programs have ranged from the development of basic health training programs for mothers, to major infrastructure reform to humanitarian assistance in times of natural disaster. Project HOPE programs are developed in partnership with local counterparts to meet the particular demands of the communities, within local constraints and culture. 

Volunteer: Health of Women and Children in the Dominican Republic
