Summary
Save the Children’s U.S. Center for Child Development and Resiliency is seeking an intern to work closely with Center Staff in knowledge management, social media, designing features for internal and external SharePoint sites, and assisting with development of online courses for our Training Hub using Articulate and Learning Management System Cornerstone
Responsibilities
  • Work with U.S. Center staff and Communications Team to maintain current and relevant information for U.S. Center
  • Assist in management of social media (Twitter, YouTube)
  • Identify, develop and load program content to intranet, extranet and public Resource Library
  • Support training national scheduling, development and testing
 
Requirements
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or student in Education, Communications or related social sciences
  • Some familiarity with our areas of work (child development, literacy, health and emergency preparedness and response)
  • Experience or interest in monitoring current events for information-sharing with other professionals
  • Experience or interest in developing and delivering training
  • Understanding of digital media and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be enrolled in a relevant undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate academic program
  • Must be able to receive credit from their college or institution. (A minimum requirement is a letter from a professor supporting the candidate. This is only needed when an internship is offered.)
