The EF Online Advocacy Program is looking for an intern to
help with research on advocacy projects throughout the Middle East and Iran in
particular, assist in website content generation, and provide administrative
support to the program officer. Ideal candidate is a graduate student or a
recent graduate. This is a paid internship in Washington DC.
DUTIES
Course administration
- Research
advocacy tools and raw materials for the website.
- Research
advocacy projects and events happening in Iran and throughout the region.
- Collect
and maintain success stories and best practices.
- Translate
website materials from English to Farsi.
- Provide
administrative support to the program officer.
- Help
with preparing donor reports.
- Monitor
website data and analytics, and liaise with the program officer to ensure
the progress of website outreach and marketing strategy.
- Conduct
research for proposals and new program areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A
bachelor’s or preferably a master’s degree in a relevant field such as
international development, international relations, social work, and area
studies.
- Strong
written and oral communication skills.
- Attention
to details and ability to handle multiple tasks required.
- Fluency
in Farsi and English required.
- Experience
in reporting and documentation highly desired.
- Knowledge
of advocacy and experience in advocacy and campaigning highly desired.
- Work
experience in non-profits desired.
