Summary
The Finance Department is looking for an accounting student interested in serving as a summer intern with the Corporate Accounting Department.  The intern will gain experience and support the department by helping with monthly journal entries, payable processing, reconciliations and analysis work.
Responsibilities
        Data Entry
  • Enter Accounts Payable invoices and wire transfers.
  • Prepare month end journal entries as needed.
  • Post journal entries to general ledger system and maintain monthly journal log.
  • Process BBEC data
         Analysis and Reconciliations
  • Perform monthly reconciliations as needed
  • Perform analysis work needed for new G/L system
  • Update valuations for Gift In Kind Database
Requirements
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial staff
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be enrolled in a relevant undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate academic program
  • Must be able to receive credit from their college or institution. (A minimum requirement is a letter from a professor supporting the candidate. This is only needed when an internship is offered.)
