Intern, Uzbekistan Program

The Intern will provide support to the Uzbekistan Social Entrepreneurship Online program. The Intern will work with the Program staff and assist in drafting the content and updating program’s social media pages in Uzbek language, as well as tracking the social media statistics. Moreover, the Intern will assist with preparation of newsletters and quarterly reports to donors, as well as implementation of outreach campaigns and other relevant tasks.

Qualifications

• Candidates currently pursuing graduate education or recent graduates in international relations, development, journalism or area studies
• The intern should have experience working in an office environment
• Intern should be experienced and knowledgeable about Uzbekistan
• Fluency in Uzbek and English is required. Russian is preferred
• Excellent writing skills in Uzbek
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet and Online Social Media required
• Strong interpersonal skills

Other details

• Starting from September through December 2013, with possible extension until July 2014.
• Full or part time, based in Washington, DC. This is a paid internship.
