Grants and Contracts Summer Intern


Location: US - KY - Lexington
Division: Finance

The Grants and Contracts (G & C) intern will have a chance to develop their project management, organizational, and communications skills and experience. They will have exposure to key grants and contracts concepts and will learn the basics of full lifecycle grants management from the proposal to close-out phases. They will also learn about SC’s major donors and basic compliance issues.
 
Responsibilities
The G&C Intern will support the Lexington office and G&C staff in a variety of assignments including, but not limited to:
  • Coordinating updates of various manuals, tools, templates and the team’s intranet site
  • Editing and formatting guidance, manuals, and presentations (word and PowerPoint)
  • General administrative support and logistics support for G&C presentations and trainings  

Requirements
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Graphics software/ PowerPoint editing a big plus
  • Creative skills (for formatting presentations and documents)
  • Multi-tasking and good communications skills
  • Quick learner
  • Attention to detail
  • Sense of humor
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be enrolled in a relevant undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate academic program
  • Must be able to receive credit from their college or institution. (A minimum requirement is a letter from a professor supporting the candidate. This is only needed when an internship is offered.)
