Design Lab 360 is an award-winning, full-service
creative studio dedicated to creating positive social change through design.

In collaboration with the Global Fish Alliance
(G-FISH), Design Lab is developing a 3-5 minute motion-graphics video to tell
the story of how fisheries improve the lives of people around the world, raise
awareness on climate change, and recommend best practices in conservation. The
video will be shown in training sessions and disseminated online to raise

Position Description:
Working closely with Design Lab’s Creative
Director and Video Specialist, the Motion Graphics Intern will play a critical
role in developing and producing a motion graphics video for the G-FISH.
The intern will be involved in all aspects of production— from
conceptualization, storyboarding, execution and design. The goal is to produce
a compelling piece that portrays a powerful story, illustrate key messages, and
help amplify the call to action.

However, we welcome and encourage different styles and animation techniques for
the new fisheries video.
Essential Job Functions:
- Participate
in client brainstorm meetings, assist with storyboarding, and make
recommendations on how sections of the script can be illustrated/animated
to achieve desired messaging.
- Develop
fully animated graphics and typography using AfterEffects 5.5.
- Maintain
well-organized graphics and video files.
- Assist
Video Specialist with final video production and editing as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1
year(s) of relevant experience required
- Advanced
working knowledge of all design software including Adobe AfterEffects,
InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Flash
- Portfolio
must contain 2-3 videos or demo reels exhibiting acumen in motion
graphics, typography, information visualization and conceptualization.
- Illustration,
photography skills an advantage
- Must
be highly creative and thrive in a deadline-driven creative environment.
- Must
have substantial working experience with motion graphics design in After
Effects, with a passion for creative storytelling
- Great
communication and interpersonal skills
- Quick
learner, self-motivated and engage well in a team environment
- Must
be detail-oriented
