SEO Intern

With press in CBS, FOX Business Network, BusinessWeek, NBC News, Oprah.com and The New York Times, UniversalGiving has established a strong presence.  We need a motivated individual and strong team player who can help maximize our organization's reach through our website.  

As an SEO Intern, you will operate under the SEO Marketing Lead Intern, doing hands-on work in Google Adwords and Google Analytics to carry out our SEO Marketing strategy toward measurable, increased website results.

 
The intern's role will include: updating search words and helping to identify new keywords, updating and maintaining our existing campaigns, regularly monitoring page rankings and status, preparing weekly reports from Adwords and Analytics, and performing industry research as needed. The SEO Intern also will help to outreach and attain new links from mission-related and highly-trafficked websites.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of SEO concepts, strategy, and tools/resources
  • Experience with Google Adwords and Google Analytics, preferred
  • Advanced skills in Excel for reports and graphs
  • Strong interest in working with both qualitative and quantitative analyses in SEO/SEM reporting
  • Understanding of words/phrases in SEO/SEM Campaigns which highlight our unique value proposition
  • Ability to optimize word choices in marketing, and create concise phrases for advertising
  • Close attention to detail
  • General internet savvy and insight on web trends
  • Advanced writing and communication skills
  • Commitment to using and updating Salesforce, our Relationship Database
  • Interest in nonprofit work, international issues, philanthropy

Duration: 
Minimum 3-4 months, 20-25 hours per week
