Girlhub is a partnership between DFID and Nike Foundation
with offices across three countries in Africa including Nigeria. At Girl Hub
Nigeria, our work is focused on unleashing the potential of adolescent girls
across Northern Nigeria with specific focus on completion of secondary schools,
delaying marriage and economic empowerment.
We will have specific work in Kano, Kaduna and Jigawa
states, and hope that the brand will expand to other northern Nigeria states as
we amplify messages from the three states.
We seek a young and vibrant graduate who is interested on
developing his or her skills in innovation and programme designs for girls.
Relevant quality:
- Demonstrated
interest to work with girls;
- Should
not be more than 25 years of age;
- Understand
the Nigeria context (understanding Northern Nigeria will be added
advantage);
- Should
have post tertiary education in relevant social sciences or any related
field;
- Must
be ready to take on responsibilities as a learning process;
- Ready
to working a multicultural and multi ethnic environment
Competencies:
- Able
to read and write in English;
- Understand
and speak Fluent Hausa will be an added advantage;
- Has
some knowledge of computer usage- Microsoft office;
Experience:
Experience in Voluntary or Paid job capacity working with
Youth, Women/Gender issues.
