Minority Rights Group International is looking for an
intern to support their Programme "Drama, Diversity and Development in the
MENA region".

You will need to have permission to work in the UK. MRG is
able to apply for a Tier 5 (Unpaid Charity Workers) Visa on behalf of the
successful applicant.
We welcome candidates of Erasmus and other exchange
programmes.
MRG covers travel expenses (up to £8) and lunch (up to £5)
daily. Other than that the internship is unpaid.
Tasks would include:
- Translate
relevant documents from Arabic to English and vice versa.
- Research
on issues related to the programme.
- Administrative
support to the programmes coordinator and assistant (organise conferences
and meetings, trips, putting together mailing lists, etc.)
- Media
monitoring in the MENA region.
Essential skills/qualifications:
- Understanding
of human rights.
- Excellent
analytical skills.
- Ability
to review large quantities of information and condense into precise
documents.
- Ability
to work to deadlines.
- Very
good English language skills.
- Very
good Arabic language skills.
Desirable skills/qualifications:
- Understanding
of minority rights and minority communities in the MENA region.
- Understanding
of using cultural activities such as street theatre.
- Experience
of organising international events and using databases.
The intern would work at MRG's offices in London (E1)
minimum two days a week, for an initial period of three months, with an option
to renew upon mutual agreement.
