Gain valuable experience in marketing by working
closely with the HOPE team. We need your help to support the Marketing
department in publicising the work that we do via HOPE’s social media
platforms, and by producing marketing materials.
Marketing is an important function used to
publicise our events and increase overall awareness of the charity. This is
needed to raise the vital funds that help vulnerable and needy children through
HOPE’s support.
Tasks can
include:
- Supporting and helping to develop Hope for
Children’s social media portfolio
- Contributing to HOPE’s social media
communications on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Update Facebook and Twitter e.g. with event,
fundraising and project information
- Liaise with HOPE’s Marketing Manager and
Programmes Team to receive information on projects, photos and videos
- Write content for Facebook and Twitter
- Helping to increase Facebook members, Twitter
following and mailing list
- Producing marketing/promotional materials
- Research and implement a presence for the
charity on Pinterest, and evaluate its usefulness.
You will not necessarily be expected to do all of
the above; this role will be varied depending upon the skills and time
availability of the volunteer.
Desirable
Skills:
- Confident using computers and is internet savvy
- IT capabilities in Microsoft Office applications
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet)
- Experience of using social media (Facebook,
Twitter)
- Ability to effectively communicate information
and ideas, particularly in written format
- Ability to effectively communicate information

- Proactive and self-motivated
- Willing to get involved and work as a part of
Team HOPE and help make a real difference to vulnerable children
Additional
information:
This is an unpaid internship based in the HOPE
office (Hertfordshire, Hemel Hempstead).
Minimum commitment of 3 days per week for 3
months. Travel expenses will be covered within reason.
