The TI Secretariat (TI-S) in Berlin is seeking a highly motivated intern for its Legal Affairs Unit (LAU).
Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. Through more than 100 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.
The function of Legal Counsel (Head of Unit) was established in 2011 with the aim of strengthening TI-S and movement’s legal capacity for managing reputational and legal risks. The Legal Counsel provides legal advice to TI-S management and staff, as well as to TI National Chapters worldwide. The Legal Affairs Unit works with international networks of pro bono lawyers and law firms. It develops and implements policies, procedures, legal tools, and training programmes to strengthen TI’s legal infrastructure.
