Russia Coordinating Intern

ChildFinance is working to create and strengthen systems, structures and policies that provide children with choices, informs them of their rights, instills in them values, empowers them to make sound financial decisions, builds their assets and invests in their own futures. ChildFinance is a concept born from the experiences of organizations promoting social and financial education and financial access to children and youth across the world. ChildFinance stresses the importance of early financial education of a high standard supported by a financial system that promotes access to safe and transparent financial products and services for children and youth.
Based in Amsterdam, ChildFinance is currently looking for a Financial Inclusion Coordinating Intern for Russian speaking countries

Responsibilities
  • Manage and expand regional specific network of financial regulators, authorities, banking networks and private financial institutions
  • Contribute to creation of country platforms focusing on ChildFinance
- Link stakeholders such as financial authorities, banking associations and ministries of education
- Contribute to national strategies that are focusing on financial inclusion for children and youth
- Facilitate sharing of best practices in country/region
  • Lead efforts related to regional organization of global event for ChildFinance Day, 16 March
  • Contribute to organization and design of regional/local projects, for example pilot program focusing on the provision of bank accounts and financial education
  • Lead regional meetings of stakeholders
  • Collecting information on strategies already occurring/will occur
  • Researching and contacting private financial institutions
  • Develop and implement marketing programme for ChildFinance to banking institutions
Requirements
  • Incredibly entrepreneurial and proactive. Find a way to make anything happen!
  • From the region
  • Experience in marketing or sales, ideally with experience working with banks or networks of banks
  • Networking, presentational and marketing skills and expertise
  • Organizational skills, detail focus and systematic way of working
  • Ability to work independently in an international, multi-cultural, fast-paced and challenging start-up environment
  • Flexible and hands-on mentality, with ability to use initiative and judgment pro-actively
  • Affinity with the non-profit sector
  • Fluent in English and Russian a necessity, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Email, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Pre-existing legal ability to work in European Union a necessity for this internship
