Development and Fundraising Internship - Fall 2013

GNG seeks a motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent writing and research skills, who is interested in gaining direct experience in Development, Fundraising, and Monitoring & Evaluation, for an international NGO.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist in identifying funding opportunities from major institutional donors (DoS, USAID, EU, etc.) and foundations;
  • Support program development activities, including proposal writing, outreach, and budgeting;
  • Conduct research on priority issues and countries;
  • Assist with the development of forms and questionnaires for data collection and analysis;
  • Provide general administrative support.
Additional Requirements:
  • Graduate-level students preferred; undergraduate juniors and seniors may be considered;
  • Prior work experience in program development, grant writing, fundraising, budgeting, and/or M&E for non-profit organization a distinct advantage;
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills;
  • Excellent research skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (development sales tracking software a plus, but not required);
  • Independent self-starter, energetic, detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to learn.
