Program Development Internship - Fall 2013

GNG currently seeks motivated and enthusiastic individuals to undertake research and assist with curriculum development for GNG educational programs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in development of project-based learning curricula and materials for ongoing and upcoming programs;
• Design lesson plans, activities and other education materials;
• Monitor and moderate social media discussions among program participants;
• Conduct research on geographic and thematic program areas;
• Serve as a liaison with educators and partners;
• Assist in outreach and membership development activities;
• Assist in facilitation of interactive videoconferences between students;
• Provide general administrative support for dynamic program implementation.

Additional Requirements:

• Graduate-level students preferred; undergraduate juniors and seniors may be considered;
• Experience working in educational settings strongly preferred;
• Experience in curriculum development;
• Interest in global issues and 6-12 grade education;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;

• Excellent writing, editing and communication skills;

• Independent self-starter, energetic, detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to learn.
