Communications Internship - Fall 2013

GNG currently seeks a motivated and enthusiastic communications intern to assist in various marketing and communications needs. The position will work closely with the Communications Manger to enhance GNG's overall presence.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist in editing and writing website content, one-pagers, brochures, and other materials;
  • Conduct various research activities;
  • Draft press releases and other communications tools as needed;
  • Develop targeted media lists and assist with press outreach;
  • Help to improve organization's online presence through social media;
  • Conduct various organization activities and tasks;
  • Provide writing, research, and administrative support for special projects;
  • Provide ongoing support to the communications team.
Additional Requirements:
  • Graduate-level students preferred; undergraduate juniors and seniors may be considered;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills;
  • Experience in pitching to the press is preferred;
  • Knowledge in international education and development is highly desired;
  • Independent self-starter, energetic, detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to learn.
