GNG currently seeks motivated and enthusiastic individuals to undertake research and assist with curriculum development for GNG educational programs in STEAM content areas (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in development of project-based learning curricula and materials for ongoing and upcoming STEAM programs;
- Design lesson plans, activities and other education materials;
- Monitor and moderate social media discussions among program participants;
- Conduct research on geographic and thematic program areas;
- Serve as a liaison with educators and partners;
- Assist in outreach and membership development activities;
- Assist in facilitation of interactive videoconferences between students;
- Provide general administrative support for dynamic program implementation.
Additional Requirements:
- Graduate-level students preferred; undergraduate juniors and seniors may be considered;
- Experience working in educational settings strongly preferred;
- Experience in curriculum development;
- Interest in environmental science, global issues and 6-12 grade education;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
- Excellent writing, editing and communication skills;
- Independent self-starter, energetic, detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to learn.
