Legal Research Intern for The Rainbird Foundation

Rainbird is a non-profit committed to the end of child abuse. We work via phone and internet. Your average week is spent researching legal issues related to child abuse. Your actions represent Rainbird and we expect the highest standards of responsibility, honesty, loyalty, and integrity. In our world free of child abuse, Friday afternoons are about Chinese take-out, champagne, and dancing to Adele, The Killers, and our guy, Johnny Cash.

Objective
Gain experience in legal research and help Rainbird write an important paper that will have a national impact.
Qualifications
  • Internet savvy
  • College level grasp of the U.S. and WI legal systems
  • Work hard and have initiative
  • Team focused and self-driven
  • College level writing skills
  • Capable of reading a great deal of information with attention to details
Responsibilities
  • Research via internet, social network hubs, publications, phone/email
  • Data Analysis
  • Write a paper based on the research that could have a national impact
  • Graphic Presentation for both Mac and PC
  • Report writing/preparation for both Mac and PC
  • Synthesis of research data
Requirements
  • Must have at least 2 years of law school experience
  • Committed to the end of child abuse
  • 6 month commitment, to start
  • reference from a professional in a legal field
Schedule/Hours
  • 20 hrs/wk, minimum
  • Flexible hours
  • Start immediately
