Scientific Research and Outreach Intern

We are seeking individuals to build New Harvest's network of scientists in order to ultimately expand the body of research in cultured meat worldwide. Individuals in this group will be working closely with New Harvest's Director, Isha Datar, and other science-oriented board members.

Duties can include:
  • Reaching out to scientists around the world working in relevant, related research and finding what their interest may be in cultured meat.
  • Developing the scientific strategy that New Harvest is to follow in the coming years.
  • Collecting researcher's mailing lists which will be used in the future to send out New Harvest requests for proposals.
  • Scientific research to develop suitable, high impact RFPs which New Harvest can issue
Skills:
  • Familiar and comfortable with reading scientific journal articles, particularly those in cell biology
  • An excellent networker, particularly over email, phone and Skype
  • Approachable, appropriate tone in communications
  • A passionate supporter of New Harvest and cultured meat
  • Diligent online communicator
Notes:
  • We are looking for several individuals to help with these duties, and will work closely with the individual to ensure they find a role that they are most comfortable and well suited to do. This may include more or less duties than those listed. Individuals may also choose a particular aspect of the science to focus on.
