Voz Workers Rights Education Project - Volunteer Coordinator Intern

Voz Workers Rights Education Project is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit and worker-led organization that empowers immigrants and day laborers to gain control over their working conditions through leadership development, organizing and community education. We also operate the Martin Luther King, Jr. Worker Center, which connects hundreds of workers a month with local employers and jobs. Visit www.portlandvoz.org
The database internship is the nexus that connects all branches of Voz Workers' Rights Education Project. By community organizing, updating, and synchronizing data, they will directly facilitate all processes of budget and organizing. Additionally, the database intern will be charged with updating of the Voz website, and creating and sending email updates to our members

  • Commitment to social, racial, economic and environmental justice
  • Able to work closely with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Familiarity with Google Docs
  • Familiarity with machete and language of CiviCRM
  • Ability to navigate social media sites and networks
  • Experience in data management and website development
  • Understanding of and ability to work with HTML format

Hours per week: 10

Compensation: Unpaid
