The International
Telecommunication Union is currently running non-remunerated internships
which aims at giving young students an opportunity to improve their
skills and gain valuable experience in an international environment.
This internship can take place either at ITU Headquarters in Geneva -
Switzerland or in one of our regional or area offices located in various
cities around the world (Addis Ababa - Ethiopia, Yaoundé - Cameroon,
Dakar - Senegal, Harare - Zimbabwe, Brasilia - Brazil, Bridgetown -
Barbados, Santiago de Chile - Chile, Tegucigalpa - Honduras, Bangkok -
Thailand, Jakarta - Indonesia, Cairo - Egypt, New York - USA or Moscow -
Russia).
Internships are
normally open to undergraduate and graduate university students from ITU
member countries. Currently candidates are selected on an ad hoc, first
come first serve basis determined by the needs of various Sectors and
departments within ITU.
Applications can be submitted at any time, exclusively through ITU’s
online e-Recruitment system.
Priority is given
to students with at least a first university degree, a second degree is
preferable. Internships are possible throughout the year and may last
from one to six months (maximum).

Once you have registered, you will need to click on the link above and select “Returning Applicants”. -
Please Note: When filling in your Personal Profile, select under the “Contract Information” Section - Internship (Short Term) (see screen shot below).- You can enter this information by specifying in the “Availability Section: OTHER” and then typing the required information in the text box “If other please specify”

An internship at
ITU offers no prospects of future employment by the Union.
