Summary
The New Business Development (NBD) Department is looking for a student who will help support the general work of NBD, including but not limited to special research projects, trend/data analysis, and administrative tasks such as filing, printing, and setting up for meetings.
New Business Development (NBD) is a department within Save the Children’s International Programs (IP) which provides quality control, strategic guidance, and support for the development of new, large-scale programs. Working in coordination with our Country Offices around the world and our technical teams – Health and Nutrition; HIV/AIDS and Child Protection; Hunger and Livelihoods; Education and Child Development; and Humanitarian Response – New Business Development facilitates the identification, selection, and response to priority initiatives. In addition, NBD provides resources, tools, and training to support program development, particularly in response to call for proposals from the United States Government. 
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Researching and analyzing United States Government funding trends;
  • Reviewing and analyzing proposal documents for key information;
  • Compiling and updating documentation on project descriptions and graphical designs;
  • Supporting active proposal development processes;
  • Administrative tasks as needed.
 
Requirements
  • Demonstrated interest in international development
  • Strong research and analytical skills 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good time-management skills
  • Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and within a team
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be enrolled in a relevant undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate academic program
  • Must be able to receive credit from their college or institution. (A minimum requirement is a letter from a professor supporting the candidate. This is only needed when an internship is offered.)
