Summary
Save
the Children seeks an early childhood/communication intern to assist
the Early Childhood Care and Development – ECCD teams to help document
its programs, successes and lessons learned.
Responsibilities
Provide the ECCD team to develop communication and professional development plan
-
Create an ECCD communication and capacity building plan. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
-
Contribute to developing the communication plan for diverse audiences, including Country Office Staff,
-
Synthesizing highly technical reports related to 0-8 year old into concise, readable documents.
-
Assisting with formatting presentations, documents and editing as needed.

Support the preparation of professional development strategies, such as webinars, presentations, newsletters, and brown bags
-
Coordinate webinar agendas with ECD team members and presenters
-
Work with speakers and ECD team members to develop power point slides and other presentation materials as necessary
-
Invite webinar participants
-
Coordinate documentation tasks with Information and Documentation Specialist.
Requirements
-
A masters or doctoral candidate in a related academic field (such as child development, international education, or communications).

Strong English speaking and writing skills
-
Analytical and highly organized
-
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
-
Familiarity
with Microsoft Publisher and SharePoint preferred Master Illuminate—the
webinar software and providing limited technical support to Country
Offices
-
Technical knowledge in early childhood development a plus
-
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
-
Must be enrolled in a relevant graduate or post-graduate academic program
-
Must be able to receive credit from their college or institution. (A
minimum requirement is a letter from a professor supporting the
candidate. This is only needed when an internship is offered.)
