Save the Children   Summary Save the Children’s U.S. Programs is currently looking for a summer intern to help support our communications efforts in the United States.  Save the Children is one of the largest children’s aid organizations in the world. Our work in the United States focuses on helping the nearly 1 in 4 children in poverty get a chance at a fair and healthy start through quality education and physical activity/nutrition programs.    Responsibilities • Conduct research • Maintain success story database, including adding and editing content • Update editorial calendar • Draft written materials for internal and external communications • Help maintain database of photo and video assets • Build media lists • Learn how to sort media clips and monitor news • Other administrative tasks as assigned   Requirements Must be enrolled in public relations, journalism, communications or a related/relevant undergraduate or graduate academic program.  Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team Strong technical aptitude in MS Office. Experience in using the internet and other web based resources, including social media. Excels at multi-tasking while paying attention to detail. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Must be able to receive credit from their college or institution. (A minimum requirement is a letter from a professor supporting the candidate. This is only needed when an internship is offered.)
