Summary
The Major Gifts Department is looking for an energetic student to help with focused telephone outreach to support the cultivation and stewardship of mid-level Special Gift donors (individuals, foundations, corporations and sponsors) through acknowledgements, reports and research and review of data to maintain integrity of donor group. The volunteer will also assist with research and review of donor data through internal and external programs to maintain the integrity of the donor group and better communicate with the Special Gifts donors.
Responsibilities
  • Support and personalize outreach to Special Gifts donors through hand-written acknowledgment notes to donors
  • Support personal mailings, emails and phone calls to donors
  • Support problem resolution with donor contributions and other donor-related projects as needed 
 
Requirements
  • Excellent organizational, written, oral communications and listening skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize/good time management and project management skills
  • Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be enrolled in a relevant undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate academic program
  • Must be able to receive credit from their college or institution. (A minimum requirement is a letter from a professor supporting the candidate. This is only needed when an internship is offered.)
