Summary
Come join a fun and dynamic team of web professionals, and make a positive impact in the lives of children in need. Help us tell stories and share vital information about the work we do for children. You’ll learn strategies for reaching diverse audiences through the web, social media, social gaming, mobile and emerging outlets. What’s more, you’ll be part of a fast-moving, creative team of industry experts.
Responsibilities
  • Proof-read content.  Assist in drafting communication such as Tweets, Facebook status updates, blogs, articles and postings for Save the Children’s website, mobile site and social media channels. 
  • Assist with research and communications for special projects, campaigns and emergencies
  • Provide assistance in following up/fulfilling requests for information
  • Test Save the Children’s website and related content
  • Participate in team meetings, “brown bag” discussions and webinars, and take notes for department
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 
Requirements
  • Applicants must have solid written and oral communications skills. 
  • Applicants must be attentive to detail, organized, energetic and be able to manage multiple tasks. 
  • Applicants must be well-versed in new media
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be enrolled in a relevant undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate academic program
  • Must be able to receive credit from their college or institution. (A minimum requirement is a letter from a professor supporting the candidate. This is only needed when an internship is offered.)
