Description
The Internews Asia and Environment unit is currently seeking a spring semester intern. The selected candidate would need to be available 2-3 days a week. This is an unpaid position based in the Washington, D.C. office and will provide the intern with an opportunity to obtain first-hand knowledge and experience with overseas development projects, media development and data analysis.
Responsibilities include:
- Draft regional and country specific flyers for all country programs in the Asia and Environment unit,
- Compile monthly country program updates,
- Working with project staff in the field to create a bank of success stories,
- Research potentially new project initiatives,
- Researching and reporting on the media environment in specific countries/regions,
- Assisting with copy editing of reports and proposals and other administrative duties as assigned.
- BA in related field
- Strong Microsoft office skills
- The ability to multi-task and work on projects independently
